Support your opinion.- Yes; "Apple's main goal here isn't to fix the battery life of their phones, but rather to direct its customers towards buying the newest, greatest phone they release."

Story 2: Russia banned from Winter Olympics

1. Who wrote the story?- Sumin Kim

2. What is their story about?- Russia not being allowed to compete in this year's winter Olympics because they've cheated in the past

3. What is their direct opinion about that topic? Please quote it directly from the story or do a really good job of paraphrasing.- Sumin says that she agrees with what happened because she thinks they should've been thrown out a long time ago because of their cheating.

Story 3: Hollywood speaks out over workplace sexual issues

2. What is their story about?- It's about how celebrities are using their higher platforms to speak out about sexual harassment in the workplace. 

3. What is their direct opinion about that topic? Please quote it directly from the story or do a really good job of paraphrasing.- She only covers facts, and doesn't really state her opinion

Story 4: Sensationalism is taking over mainstream journalism

1. Who wrote the story?- Jake Brien

2. What is their story about?- How big name news stations can cover pieces they think viewers will like rather than what they usually cover.

3. What is their direct opinion about that topic? Please quote it directly from the story or do a really good job of paraphrasing.- Jake doesn't agree because there would be too much controversy, especially with politics.

A. What do you think the major differences between a hard news story and an opinions piece? Come up with at least three.
Hard news stories are only facts all of the time whereas opinion pieces are able to include opinions. Also, hard news is 3rd person and opinion pieces are 1st person.

B. Why do you think there aren't very many photos on this page?
It's harder to take pictures of opinions than it is to take pictures of facts.
