This website gives seven tips to shoot a great portrait, and also has plenty of example pictures for the tips they are talking about. The main thing this article seemed to keep in mind is the fact that photographers should let loose and not always follow the rules of photography, and to not be afraid of making your picture look different from the stereotypical portraits because those are the photos that stand out to people.

1. I chose this photo because I love babies and I also love how this picture was taken. The photographer did a really great job at taking the picture when the baby was still, which can be very difficult. And I really like kind of neutral colors with a pop of bright blue eyes.
2. The main rule of photography I see in this photo is simplicity. The photo is just the baby in a sweater(?), there's no distracting background, or depth of field. Also, the baby is looking off camera, which makes you think about what they might be looking at.
3. The photographer is not stated.

The author of this article is sharing her ideas about how to make her photography more meaningful and ways to make you and others happy and proud about what you've done.

1. I chose this picture because I like the way the environment is used as the background that captures the viewers' eyes. First they see the woman walking down a road, and then your eyes follow her towards the mountain and clouds in front and above her.
2. The rule of photography I see in this photo is leading lines. The lines of the road lead your eyes down the road and to the mountain.
3. The photographer is Jenna Martin.

This article is heavily based on raising awareness for preserving the wildlife around us. The author took many pictures of plants and other wildlife that have been around for hundreds and thousands of years.

1. I chose this picture because I love the white at the top and the the blue ocean popping. The contrast between the mountains and the water is really good.
2. The rule of photography in the picture is rule of thirds, the sky, mountains, and water are all fairly distributed throughout the top, middle, and bottom of the picture.
3. The photographer is Rachel Sussman.

This article shows many ways to shoot theat everyone should know.
