I chose this picture because I love how brave this man is, literally standing up for his country.

June 5, 1989, was the day after the Tiananmen Square Massacre, which was where Chinese troops attacked pro-democracy boycotters who were camped on the plaza. On the fifth, a man was walking across the street with shopping bags in his hands when four tanks came down the street. Instead of moving, the man stood his ground in protest against them.
