I chose this picture because it shows the suffering families had to go through during the Depression. I admire the mother's strength, staying calm for her children.

The mother in the photo, Frances Owens Thompson, is in desperate need of food for her children and her for they are out of money. She had to sell the tires from her car to get money to feed her children, but before that, they ate the birds that her children killed and brought back.
