Mural Project Preview

1.) Three things that our group could take pictures of are lights, emotion, or color.

2.) Three things I would need to think about when I go out shooting manually are; the exposure of the picture, the lens aperture, and the shutter speed.

3.) Three ways we could get our Mural Projects onto the internet are; make a google slides presentation and put it on the Bowie website, make a prezi and upload it to the Bowie website, or we could make a slideshow of the pictures and post it on YouTube or, again, the Bowie website.

In this picture, I used the Rule of Thirds. I put the girl in the right third of the picture. The subject of this picture is the girl using the fire extinguisher which is aimed at her target. Yes, it is clear to the people viewing my photo what the subject of the picture is.  The rule of composition I used is Balance. There is a nice spread of people's different heights in the picture. In this picture, the subject is the teacher instructing her students what to do a the whiteboard. I think the subject is mostly clear to viewers, the only thing they might not see is what the teacher is instructing them to do. In order to make sure people know what the subject is, I could've stepped back to where what they were doing on the whiteboard could be seen.  The rule of composition is Balance as well. The students fill the picture and Chef is at the head of the table, looking the other way, balancing out the amount of people looking in one ...

Architecture Preview 1

1. Who is the architect (the person who built it)? 2. When was it built? 3. Where is it located? 4. Is it a private building or can you visit it? 5. Is there information on how much it cost to build? 6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? 7. Why did you pick this building? ( write at least a paragraph on this question) Strong National Museum of Play, USA 1.) The architects of this building are CJS Architects. 2.) The  building  was built in 1982. 3.) It is located in Rochester, New York. 4.) The building is a  museum , so yes you can visit it. 5.) There is no info. on how much the cost was to build the museum. 6.) The reason it was built is that the founder,  Margaret Woodbury Strong, collected mass produced toys and wanted to show the many ways industrialization changed everyday life.  7.) Warm Up

1. What emotions did you feel as you worked your way through these images? As I got further into the collection of photos, I was more and more sad. It was heartbreaking to see it happen all the way through. I couldn't even recognize her towards the end. 2. The photographer said this: "These photographs do not define us, but they are us." What do you think about this comment now that you have looked at the photos? I think what it means is that she had cancer, and he had a wife who had cancer, those shouldn't be their titles. They shouldn't be known as "the women with cancer" or "the man whose wife has cancer". 3. Do you think you could shoot photos like this if you were in this situation? I think I would be able to, but it would be hard to have to not only live it, but re-live it when you're editing and posting the photos.
